What is Talk Story, Write Story?

Talk Story, Write Story guides teachers through personal writing so they can teach students to showcase their heritage, personalities and goals in essays that earn college admittance and scholarships. Talk Story, Write Story’s legacy is a writing template that strengthens teachers’ and students’ lifelong ability to overcome obstacles through self-examination and creative expression. In an intensive four-day creative writing workshop, teachers trade places to become students. They write personal life experiences and participate in positive collective critiques. The goal is for teachers to transfer knowledge gained in the workshop to their students. Tad and Dean continue their professional support of teachers through an ever expanding digital learning network.
